The workspace for the 21st century will replenish our energy by creating convenient spaces for one to live, work & play. It is defined as “live, work, and play.” The new workspace for the 21st century promotes body relaxation through customized areas. It fits our specific needs and removes unnecessary physical work. The workplace is personalized and customized to the human body.

The apertures & surfaces conditions respond to the human body’s actions performed in the workplace. In between these apertures are various density patterns allowing light, air, sound, and information to pass through the walls. Digital technology will be the new ‘building material’ for the 21st century.

The new workplace uses functional adjacencies to create connections of sound/light/view/information to enfold/protect and open/engage the user both internally and at the edge.

A series of active/passive surfaces will be engaged physically or passively through viewing/projection/lighting. The active zones (movement/media/material) are penetrated physically but also by the passive viewing, creating multiple physical and spatial trajectories coordinated by the surface/frame. The links and veiling of the interior provide a false sense of interiority because once inside you're projected back out into the world through the mediated surfaces providing literal and digital views outward.
